Hello faithful TROtskies!! Lee here stepping on Uncle Gorby’s toes for a minute to offer you the tiniest hint of an update. As I’m sure some of you are starting to realize I’m a huge fan of DC and if you didn’t know you do now.  So, I’ve been tasked with updating and completing the DC files. This is a massive task, like, Anti-Monitor massive. What this involves is updating cover images; creators; characters and other assorted information involving links and library numbers. Some of the books have literally no information and I’m starting from scratch, other books are easier to deal with. Over the course of the spring/summer I’m hoping to be able to get most, if not all, of the DC list completed and indexed making it easier for you, our most amazing readers, to find and catalog what you’re looking for. Below is a list of the titles that have been updated, or if you don’t feel like reading the whole list, roughly the first 6 pages have been completed. Just a quick weekend update for you guys — fellow TRO staffer Alexander Davis and I have been working hard to write small, one paragraph descriptions for each of the character reading order pages.

Want to help out? You can submit short bios on your favorite comic book characters to gorblax@tradereadingorder.com.

If you write one we don’t have yet, or it’s better than the one paragraph we wrote, we’ll put it right the heck up there on the page for all to admire.

Tomorrow (or later today, depending on your time zone): expect a brand new essay from yours truly!

Hey all, looks like I’ve tracked down everything I’ve been able to up until current solicitations.  I’ll be sorting these before uploading (hopefully I can get everything into order quicker offline, then put them directly into the site in the correct positions.. or near enough.) Not sure of the exact ETA, but I’m working on it!

It seems like it may be quicker to reupload all the DC books currently sitting in “Unplaced Books” in their new sorted positions, so if you’ve added those books to your collections you may have to re-add them, sorry.

This offline db update includes everything up to the DC switchover to the New 52, and the first few batches of New 52 trades. In addition, looks like we’ve got the odd Showcase and Archive, plus even a fourth volume of the 90s Animal Man!

Looks like DC’s released a lot more books in the interim than I expected.

Hey all, I’ve updated the site backend and several plugins. I ran into a couple errors, but seem to have solved them by setting some redirects and clearing bad  caches.

The site might be a little slower than normal as pages re-cache. Please let me know if you run into any errors!

Also, I responded to some old comments and emails from the site email. Hopefully I didn’t miss any. If you were waiting on an answer to something, hit me up again about it.

I went through a brief scare where it seemed I’d completely lost my offline database when my home server was damaged in shipping out here… but I managed to find a backup that was only a tiny bit behind. Thank you thank you thank you past me for backing this up. Minor heart attack.
