On the advice of TheEnd and Marc on the forums, I’m moving The Ultimates Vol. 1 up a place on the Ultimate Marvel Reading Order.
“I was rereading some of my Ultimate Marvel stuff over the weekend using the reading order. I noticed that Ultimate X-Men Vol. 3 mentions the Ultimates and their members even though in the reading order the Ultimates Vol. 1 comes after it.”
So now Ultimate X-Men Vol. 3 comes after!

Great job here….. I’m just waiting for the last oversided hardback, and need to order a few more of the none hardback TPB’s and I’m gonna go for this again right from the start using your list:)
Interesting you have the team ups book as the Ultimate collection version and not the 3 seperate TPB (Like you do with the other books) If you split them up would they still all go in that spot?

It’s hard to say. I think I just decided to buy the team up ultimate collection myself, so I put that one in when I originally made the list.
As for the placement of the individual trades, it’s tough since there are a fair amount of continuity errors. I’ve heard that they were originally written to be out of continuity, but sometimes they are referenced later.. so it’s hard to say.

That sounds fair enough…. I can’t realy remember what was in them now, but I’ll bare it in mind when I do the re read and if I can suggest better positions for them I will!

The Fantastic Four issue and the issue where Spider-Man and the X-Men meet at the mall are out-of-continuity, as are all references to those issues in the Ultimate Spider-Man Super Special. As long as you keep that in mind, it wouldn’t be a big deal to list the original trades in addition to the Ultimate MTU Ultimate Collection.
