So, between a few people being in the UK or not needing a book, we’re still waiting on the final selection. I’m going to send out another email after this, and hopefully I’ll know who is getting what by tomorrow!
Also, there seems to be a bit of a problem with the tag list on the front page. It happened while I was trying to tweak the backend, but I haven’t really had a chance to look into it yet. I couldn’t figure out what is causing the misalignment in the contributor layout, as well, so I’m going to have to keep looking into that.
It’s possible that I’ll have to disable direct control in the backend until we’ve figured that out.
Anyway, I also may be trying some changes to increase uptime, decrease errors and time outs, and get the site running a million times better. That includes having a private server JUST for this site (as opposed to being on a shared server account with like 12 other websites I run) and paying some money to an expert to help me optimize the back end. It’s a bit of an expense for my hobby, but I’m sick of running into errors whenever I try to do an update.
I’m not sure what to expect from the change over and the different things we’ll be trying, but I assume there will be a little down time.
Edit: This was supposed to go up BEFORE the downtime, but there already was a little rough patch tonight. Hopefully everything will be running MUCH smoother soon!
