Before Crisis on Infinite Earths, there was Earth-1 and Earth-2, each with its own set of heroes, the JSA and the JLA. Each year they’d meet for tea and crumpets. Sometimes they invited the Marvel Family from Earth-S or some DC Editors over from real life. That’s basically the gist of it.
